Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes, we do get asked that occasionally!
Speakers, mobile DJ light show, the DJ podium, wireless microphones are with us nearly every weekend of the year. We are very self-sufficient; tables, food, drinks, etc are NOT required.
The only needs that we have are power, time to set up and a place to change (that’s never been an issue) into appropriate attire.
What is the DJ light show?
The Mobile DJ Light Show is a very portable system that are managed by us via the programmed controller.
We are able to control the colors, patterns and speed of the ‘intelligent’ DMX lights to match the tempo and style of the songs we play. From retirees dancing to big band and crooners to teens bringing sexy back, it works for all types of music.
Will you plug into the house system?
At Moss Creek Plantation, we will transmit into the house system to play dinner music across the entire facility. We will include this as part of our amenities. The rate will be the same.
If it is a concert PA system, working with the sound company is something we’re used to. We’ll do this at no additional charge.
For dancing, the typical house system will be inadequate. If you still really want us to do that, the rate will be triple and we will not be responsible for sound quality issues. It’s much easier and cheaper for us to bring in our own gear than to purchase additional insurance, walk-through the facility with the banquet sales manager and then filing a statement after the event.
Also, please don’t ask us to stand by the light switches and flip them off and on quickly instead of bringing in the DJ light show. That would be just as silly! LOL!
